BREAST SURGERY

Breast Surgery
Breast Reduction
Breast Reduction surgery is aimed at reducing the breast volume to achieve an ideal breast shape. The procedure is always performed under general anesthesia and can take up to 2 hours to complete. Scars are visible but partially hidden on the underside of the breast and over time will fade significantly. The process of lifting the breast to achieve the ideal shape will often involve making two incisions, one beneath the breast, and one extending to the edge of the nipple (areola) creating and inverted T shape. Most patient undergoing Breast Reduction will be expected to return home the same day.
Breast Implant
Breast augmentation, sometimes referred to as a “breast aug” or “boob job” by patients, involves using breast implants or fat transfer to increase the size of your breasts. This procedure can also restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy, achieve a more rounded breast shape, size, fuller appearance or improve natural breast size asymmetry
Tuberous Breasts
Tuberous breasts (or tubular breasts) are a result of a congenital abnormality of the breasts which can occur in both men and women (also see Hypoplasia), one breast or both. During puberty breast development is stymied and the breasts fail to develop normally and fully. The appearance of tuberous breasts can potentially be changed through surgical procedures, including the tissue expansion method and breast implants.
Nipple/Areola Reduction
Nipple and Areola Reduction operations are simple procedures that effectively reduces the size and changes the shape of one or both of your nipples
Breast Lift
Whilst there are many different reasons for sagging breasts (weight changes, breastfeeding, breast size and gravity) a breast lift can help to restore a natural look, giving the patient balanced, perfectly proportioned breasts. The breast lift is a procedure performed under general anaesthetic that takes up to two hours to complete. During the surgery, the breast tissue is reshaped, excess skin is removed and the nipple is placed into the correct position. The breasts are reshaped to ensure that they are balanced and symmetrical.
Breast Ototransfer Fat
Fat transfer breast augmentation essentially uses liposuction to take fat from other parts of your body and inject it into your breasts. This is a breast augmentation option for women who are looking for a relatively small increase in breast size and would prefer natural results.
Gynecomasty
Occasionally breast tissue and fat deposits in men can enlarge resulting in the appearance of male breasts. This is usually due to hormonal reasons (and very rarely due to male breast cancer) and in some cases this can happen for no apparent reason. Whatever the cause, the appearance of male breasts can negatively impact on self-esteem and self-confidence especially if the growth occurs during male adolescence. Although there is no medical treatment for reducing the enlargement of this breast tissue, Gynecomastia is a simple operation that can be performed under either general anaesthetic or sedation and usually takes less than an hour to perform.
Inverted Nipple
Nipple inversion - The nipple itself lies flat or inverts inwards towards the body rather than protruding in the normal way. This condition can occur from birth but in some cases, can develop later on in life. This is typically another swift and straightforward procedure that can be carried out under a local anaesthetic although different grades of inverted nipples require different complexities of surgery.
